UL/Demko approved for Class 1, Div 2 and Zone 2 locations

The new Isco 1000 HL pump provides stable, positive flow rates from 1 microliter/minute up to 244 ml/minute, with a 2000 psi (138 bar) pressure limit, while conforming to safety standards for use in UL Class I, Division 2, Groups A B C & D, T3B or Zone 2, II 3G EEx nC IIC T3 environments. It is suitable for installation in locations providing adequate protection against the entry of solid foreign objects or water capable of impairing safety. The hazardous location rating is achieved through internal design modifications including the use of brushless DC motors, eliminating the need for purge boxes or other additional safety devices.

Typical applications for the new 1000HL pumps include:

• Fluid delivery and dispensing applications in locations where equipment must be rated for Class 1, Div 2 or Zone 2 (gas groups ABCD).
• Precision fluid addition in research and manufacturing processes
• Reactant feed in chemical process development, catalyst evaluation, plastic formulation
• Accurate metering of liquefied gases

The HL controller has a keypad and LCD, as well as built-in and optional interfaces for computer control, data logging, and analog I/O. Programming is easy and flexible with instant access to menu screens even when the pump is running, allowing on-the-fly changes to limits and other operating parameters.

The 1000HL pump module uses a single-ratio drive train with auto-lubricating gears for long life and low maintenance. Wetted materials are compatible with aqueous and organic liquids, corrosive solutions, heated fluids, liquefied gases, viscous fluids, or slurries and pastes. Optional materials such as Hastelloy are available on request.

As with Isco’s standard Series D pumps, the new HL Series pumps are available in dual-syringe configurations for uninterrupted, continuous flow with alternating delivery and refill.
